MILLWRIGHT/MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER | AISC METAL FABRICATOR

An AISC Certified Fabricator, EDCO works with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Aerospace and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment.

We are seeking an experienced Millwright/Mechanical Assembler that has professional experience with assembly of intricate units composed of a large number of component parts or of large and complicated units. Qualifications.

Requires reading of blueprint and schematic drawings.

Correctly interpret and build from engineering drawings and specifications.

Utilize a variety of manual hand and powered tools and equipment.

Component and Assembly Testing to high specifications and tight tolerances.

Supports and utilizes Quality Management System to meet quality expectations and uses in-process quality checking procedure consistently.

Specific Activities. Activities include but not limited to:

Assembles metal, plastic, and fiberglass fabrications, such as stands, conveyors, saws, or other mechanical equipment, partially or completely, working at a bench or on the shop floor.

May include bolt installation on structural steel assemblies.

Assemble, attach, and install electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components and hardware in a prescribed manner using power or hand tools, testing devices, gauges, and other equipment to form complete units or sub-assemblies.

Constructs foundation for equipment as required.

Fabricates connections and other parts as required.

May test or inspect assembled units. Work may be in a clean room environment.

Check for proper fit or adjustment and make necessary adjustments.

Align machines, equipment, and parts.

Dismantles equipment as required and reassembles as needed.

Education and Experience. One-year certificate from college or technical school; and 3+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands. Ability to lift 50 pounds, work in an industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection and other appropriate protective clothing.

Work Location. Work is performed on-site.

Schedule. Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, may require some overtime work.

Job Type. Full-Time, Non-exempt position

Compensation. $22-$27 DOE
